Book / Enquire Tour »The Full day Wine and Artisans tour is a truly exclusive tour of the Nelson Wine and Art Region.

The Nelson Tasman region is the undisputed creative arts centre of New Zealand. This is where the World of WearableArt (WOW) event was born and the internationally acclaimed Hoglund Art Glass studio has been in operation for thirty years. The region has over 300 working artists. Painters, sculptors, ceramic artists, potters, glass blowers, jewellers, writers and creators draw energy from the spectacular natural environment and create art and crafts that have a unique and personal signature attached to them. Meet artists, visit their workshops and enjoy your journey of discovery as you travel around the region.

We will visit WOW museum, 2-3 wineries, visit local art/craft studios and also stop for a gourmet lunch at a renowned local Restaurant. This is a small exclusive tour with a maximum of 4 guests (or more by special arrangement). A more flexible tour altered to specially cater for your tastes during the day.

This is a very special day out where you will learn to taste wines like a professional and see some amazing Art, with the possibility of meeting the winemakers and artisans (subject to availability). A visit to Mapua Wharf will give you time to stroll the boutique stores.

As you travel between the wineries and art galleries we cover over 100kms of pristine scenery and your experienced guide will give informative information on the local European and Maori history. With weather permitting a short scenic walk can also be included therefore comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

This tour is approximately 6.5hours, with pick-up and drop-off from Nelson or Tasman accommodation included. Departure time is 10.30am. All wine tasting costs, WOW museum entry, and the gourmet lunch is included in the booking.

Please note a minimum of 2 people is necessary for guaranteed departure.

Cancellation Policy: Up to 5 days before = Re-ticketing at no extra cost OR refund less 20% transaction fee. If cancelled within 5 days of tour there is nil refund.
