Walk, walk ‘n’ ride or just ride. A quick look at city highlights and historic points of interest including Queens Gardens, some historic buildings and the site of New Zealand’s first official rugby game. Our informative tour is intended to give you an idea of some of Nelson’s culture and history.
A medium level of fitness required. This tour consists of two lovely bush walks, each about 35 minutes long and a visit to an award winning boutique winery on our journey back. We travel through rural scenes, native bush and golden beaches.
The Wine and Artisans Tour is a great tour that allows you to taste award winning wines from two local wineries and also visit many art studios/galleries along the way. As we travel through the pristine countryside, your tour guide is able to provide informative information on the local European and Maori history within the area.
The Wines, Brews and Views Tour caters for those who like both wine and beer. Our region is home to more craft breweries per head of the population than anywhere else in the country and is renown for its award winning wineries. With experienced and friendly guides, you are bound to have an enjoyable afternoon.
In this tour you'll explore the Waimea Plains region with its alluvial, free draining, gravelled soil, and the softly rolling Moutere Hills where gravel threaded clay provides a contrasting growing medium for Nelson wines. Sampling boutique Nelson wines from four different wineries will tempt the most discerning wine lover.
Visit a selection of breweries to learn from the brewers themselves and taste the fruits of their labour. We also offer a visit to a small distillery if time permits and if open on the day.
